Road Closures

Please be advised that the M40 Motorway and A404 Trunk Road near Handy Cross will undergo significant temporary closures due to essential resurfacing works by National Highways.

Weekend and Overnight Closures

Duration: Approximately three weeks, starting on or after Friday, 13th September 2024.

Weekend closure: From 21:00 Friday to 06:00 Monday.

Overnight closures: 21:00 – 06:00.

Affected areas include:

M40 Junction 4 (Handy Cross) roundabout and slip roads.

Both carriageways of the A404 between Handy Cross and Westhorpe Interchange.

Adjacent footways and cycle tracks.

Diversions will be in place and clearly marked, using routes such as the A40, A355, A4010, and others.

 Please plan accordingly and allow extra travel time. Further details can be found on the National Highways website.
